french dip

1-3 lbs chuck roast
1 package Knorr Onion Soup mix
1 Beer
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
1 onion, thinly sliced
4 garlic cloves
6 sub rolls or hoggie
6 Provolone Slices

Season roast with salt and pepper on both sides and place all ingredients in a crockpot except bread and cheese.

Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours or high for 4-5 hours.

An hour before serving, shred or slice roast and place back into crockpot and adjust seasoning.

To serve, slice the rolls in half lengthwise, place cheese on one side and toast in the oven until golden brown.

Place the meat on the bread and cover with two slices.

Serve with a little bowl of the cooking juice to dip the sandwiches.
